NIT Hamirpur:Student designs 4 wheeler Off road Bike

Hardeep, MTech final year student of the NIT-Hamirpur, has developed an all-terrain bike.

Hardeep said he did not get any financial assistance from the institute. He said the project had cost him over Rs 4.5 lakh.

He said he would display the bike at ‘QUADTORC’ an exhibition organised by the Indian Society of New Era Engineers in Chandpur, Uttar Pradesh, from August 27.

Hardeep said: “The bike will not start if the rider is not wearing a helmet.”

A local NGO, Yonglink, is helping Hardeep and his friends under the Invest on Youth Dreams Programme. The group will organise a road show to generate funds for the students on August 6.
